R&E Engineering Welding Robots
R&E Engineering offers fully customised automated/robotic welding system as well as one off robots and equipment purchases depending on the client’s needs. Our robots are designed to be able to perform complex, long duration, repeated welding processes that will produce consistent high quality results. We aim to reduce the manual work done on welding to improve worker safety, product quality and reduce production cost. Our products will help you gain an edge in the industry, whilst cutting down costs.

CLOOS Robotic Welding Arms
With its optimised design and the use of innovative technology, the new generation of QIROX® welding robots offers the shortest acceleration and deceleration times as well as particularly high offset speeds. Despite their enormous dynamics, the systems operate with utmost precision and, thanks to the exact conversion of the sensor data, they deliver a repeatability of less than 0.1 mm with workpiece tolerances.
Specifications for Standard QRC350 Welding Robots | |
---|---|
Number of robot axis | 6 |
Working area | 3400 mm dia. |
Wrist capacity | 15 kg |
Repeatability | ±0.1 mm |
Mounting | Floor/Tilted/Inverted Mount |
Advantages for Increased Productivity
QIROX® Robot Controller
Customisation to Suit your Needs
Hollow Shaft
On QIROX® welding robots with hollow shaft wrist, the wire drive unit is integrated in the robot arm. Allowing for complex movements without risk of the cable assemblies becoming entangled or under tension.
Seventh Axis
The excentric axis mounted in the robot base enables horizontal movement of the robot up to 550 mm. The welding of complex workpieces is simplified and accelerated thanks to the considerably increased reach.
Range of QINEO® Welders
No matter what the requirements of your products are, there is a large range of power sources allowing for a variety of different welding techniques. Thus, the robot can be configured to for the weld type that best suits your product and application.
Add-On / Additional Upgrades
A wide variety of add-ons are available to further improve your system. These add-ons are not necessary but definitely worth looking into! They are designed to fine-tune accuracy and provide a higher robotic welding experience through easier programming, automatic welding calculations and parameter adjustments. In return, you get the benefits of higher quality welding outputs, enhanced safety and increased of overall production speed.
CLOOS Tandem Welding
In the Tandem Weld process, two arcs burn in a common molten pool. The process is based on two electrically separated processes which match each other perfectly. This possibility opens up a multitude of combinations. The front wire ensures a safe penetration, the back wire quickly fills big joints with filler material.
CLOOS Tandem Welding induces low heat input to the work piece, which results in reduced component distortion and avoid extensive reworks. This is also one of the reason why tandem welding is so popular!
You will reduce your welding time significantly due to high deposition rate resulting in high weld speed and volume filling. Which also compensates for material tolerance due to good gap bridging ability.
Unlike conventional tandem welding, which only works on thick plate steel, CLOOS Tandem Welding works with both thick and thin plates. This means that you can get the maximum weld speed and quality regardless of your products!
QIROX RoboPlan Professional – Offline Robotic Programming
The RoboPlan Professional is the maximum configuration level of the modular CLOOS Offline Programming Software. Due to the application of various software modules, you can perfectly match the system to your requirements. Thus, reaching the highest programming efficiency.
Robotic Welding Sensors
The robotic welding sensors are installed on the welding torch. This gives the sensors enough distance to work either on offline (before welding) or online (during welding) mode. These sensors are small and compact, but helps deliver superior performance!
Uses the arc to measure the joint position of the work piece, enabling measurement and welding to be carried out simultaneously without affecting cycle times.
Uses the torch gas nozzle or the welding wire to determine start and/or end of the weld seam and corrects the programmed welding path.
The laser sensors are non-contact optical measuring systems to position the robot and to determine the weld geometry during (online) or before (offline) welding and automatically adjusts welding parameters according to the work piece alignment/placement.
