ICP DAS I/O Module MQ-7260AM
ICP Electronics Australia is proud to introduce ICP DAS’s MQ-7260AM. The MQ-7260AM is an Ethernet I/O module that supports MQTT and Modbus TCP connections with a range of digital sensors in Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) applications.
It also has 6-channel DI and 6-channel form A relays. Using a standard web browser on a computer or mobile device, a web-based user interface is given to set up the module, check the network connection status and I/O status, and control relay output channels on the module.
The MQ-7260AM lacks channel-to-channel isolation but has optical isolation for 3000 VDC of transient overvoltage safety. When inductive loads are connected to the relays, the energy stored in the load may generate a significant counter-electromotive force to arise when the relay actuates.
These flyback voltages have the potential to seriously harm the relay contacts and drastically reduce relay life. Install a flyback diode for DC loads or a metal oxide varistor for AC loads to reduce these flyback voltages at your inductive load.
