Our customer is an Australian-owned company with over 64 years of experience, renowned for their high-quality off-road products and robust suspension solutions. With a global reputation, they cater to recreational, military, and commercial sectors, designing durable and reliable equipment for off-road enthusiasts, competition teams, and military organizations, delivering exceptional performance and value.
Despite their success, they faced challenges in ensuring the security and efficiency of their product packaging, particularly when wrapping large pallets (2000mm x 1200mm) by hand—a size not supported by most market machines—while also meeting environmental objectives.
Gateway Packaging addressed these needs by providing the X100 Pallet Wrapping Machine, which could handle these large pallets and offered advanced features to enhance packaging security and efficiency. The solution also focused on reducing labour cost and efficiency, with two machines installed in their distribution centre. These machines, operable by remote control and equipped with a Blackeye reader sensor for black stretch film, include a 400% pre-stretch head that supports sustainability by reducing waste.
Gateway Packaging managed the installation smoothly and provided comprehensive training to ensure the customer’s staff could operate the new machinery effectively. Additionally, ongoing support was offered, including regular maintenance and prompt technical assistance.
