The gears are helical, hardened and ground of alloy steels making this gearbox suitable for both forward and reverse motion. 

A torque arm anchors the gearbox and provides an easy, quick method of adjustment of V-belts by means of a turnbuckle. 

A new improved gear tooth design improves the output torque to weight ratio within the same standard gearbox range.
