Downs Steel also fabricate in Aluminium, Stainless and Chrome Molly materials. We have a full range of plant including Press Brakes, Rolling capabilities, Saws, Guillotines, Profile Cutting and utilise all types of welding processes including Heavy Sub-arc welding capabilities.

We operate out of modern workshops which have in house Grit Blasting and Industrial Painting facilities. In house engineering and shop drawing expertise is also available to ensure efficient and accurate fabrication is achieved.

This division has approximately 30 employees who are qualified to high standards in fabrication and welding procedures.

The company has carried out many multi million dollar contracts for most of Australia’s leading construction companies. We enjoy a reputation as an innovative, progressive company who commits to achieving good outcomes for customers and clients.

We have in the past allocated in excess of 100 men for long term projects such as Power Station fabrication for extended periods exceeding two years duration, so we have the ability to access other engineering resources from within The Davey Group of Companies.

Heavy transport, trucks and purpose built trailers along with craneage is available in house to deliver large and difficult fabrications to all parts of Australia.
