The squirty washer differs from your standard washer by the addition of “bumps” one side.
These bumps are filled with a cured orange silicone with a channel leading to the out diameter. When compressed the silicon squirts out through the channels giving a visual indication of direct tension applied to the roof bolt.
The M24 squirty washer is a simple addition to a general M24 roof bolt assembly.

Why use the squirty washer?

• Provides a visual indication that the bolt has been tensioned to a minimum 6 tonne.
• The presence of silicone at all four points indicates that each bolt is being tensioned correctly.
• Highlight whether a drill rig is operating to its required performance level.
