Kestrel Intrinsically Safe Pocket Weather ...
Our Kestrel-IS Intrinsically Safe Air Velocity Meters are critical pieces of equipment for monitoring air flow, wet/dry bulb temperature, heats stress etc, in underground mine ventilation operations.
There are two models available, the 1000-IS and the 3500-IS, both of which hold the Certificate of Conformity for Explosion-Protected Electrical Equipment AUS 02.2538 (to Ex ia I IP55), issued by the Safety in Mines Testing and Research Station (SIMTARS).
Every unit is fully tested for measurement accuracy and waterproof integrity, and is calibrated to National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) traceable standards.
Kestrel 1000-IS Intrinsically Safe Air Velocity Meter
Measures: Current air velocity, average air velocity, maximum air velocity.
The Kestrel 1000-IS continues to be the most popular of the Kestrel hand-held measurement devices supplied by Pacific Data Systems.
Tough, accurate and affordable, it requires no setup - just hold it up to measure air velocity. It can track maximum and average air velocity along with current readings, and allows you to choose measurement units to suit your application including knots, meters per second, kilometers per hour, miles per hour, feet per minute and the beaufort scale.
More information on the Kestrel 1000-IS is available here
Kestrel 3500-IS Multi-parameter Pocket Weather Meter
Measures: Current/Average Wind Speed, Maximum Wind Gust, Wet / Dry Bulb Temperature, Relative Humidit, Heat Stress Index, Wind Chill, Dew Point, Barometric Pressure, Pressure Trend, Altitude
The Kestrel 3500-IS is a rugged, multi-function wind and weather meter that measures all the environmental variables, including air velocity (wind speed), wet / dry bulb temperature, relative humidity, heat stress index, barometric pressure, dew point and more.
