Industrial Robots & Robotics Tool Changers ...
Automatic tool changers from ATI Industrial Automation are available in a selection of sizes ranging from 8 kg (QC-5) up to 1,135 kg (QC-602) payload which is by far the strongest tool changer on the market today.
The tool changer is a 2-piece unit, one piece (the master side) is fitted onto the robot wrist and the other piece (the tool side) is attached to the gripper or tool. One master allows the robot to pick up any gripper or end effector fitted with a tool side QC plate.
ATI's patented locking mechanism and extremely high moment capacities means that the tool changer can withstand the same wear and tear as the robot itself. In case of power failure it will hold the tool securely and in a repeatable position.
Suitable for applications including press and machine loading/onloading, welding, assembly and materials handling applications, all tool changers can be fitted with optional modules to accomodate electrical, compressed air and vacuum supplies to the tool (gripper etc). There are also high flow fluid modules to keep weld guns and transformers cool. Electrics can be accomodated via DeviceNet, primary power and servo modules to make connections safe and reliable.
ATI tool changers are widely specified by Australia's leading robot suppliers, integrators and end-users as a safe, reliable and economical solution to robotic multi-tasking applications.
ATI is a leading engineering based world developer of robotic peripheral equipment and robotic tooling, including automatic tool changers, multi-axis force/torques sensors, robot deburring tools, crash protection devices, rotary joints and compliance devices.
Romheld Automation distributes ATI products throughout Australia and New Zealand.
