HAMMERITE DIRECT TO RUST METAL PAINT - Touch dry in an hour, Hammerite gives long-lasting protection and is suitable for use on a wide range of exterior metal including gates, railings, drainpipes, guttering and garden furniture.

HAMMERITE DIRECT TO GALVANISED METAL PAINT - 750ml size only. Colours - Black, Blue, Copper, Dark Green, Silver and White

• Apply direct to rust 
• Protects for up to 5 years
• No primer or undercoat required 
• For metal inside and outside the home 
• Available in smooth, satin or hammered finish 
• Colours available in Hammered and Smooth Black, Blue, Red, Yellow, White, Dark Green, Copper Cream, Gold, Silver, Charcoal.\
• Colours available in Satin - Black and White
• Available in 250ml, 750ml, 2.5L & 5L, 285ml aerosol

Application:

No Primer or undercoat needed.

Applications - Aerosol

Store aerosol at room temperature for 2 hours prior to use. 
Shake can vigorously, in a vertical motion, until the agitator ball is heard and then for a further 3 minutes. 
Apply light even coats, from a distance of approximately 15cm (6 inches) and keep the aerosol moving. 
Do NOT concentrate spray in one spot. Apply 3-4 coats for maximum protection and allow 15 minutes between coats. 
Between coats invert can and spray for 2 seconds to avoid blockages.

Applications - Brushed

1. Ideal application temperature 8? - 25?. 
2. Lightly stir before use. Do not mix vigorously. 
3. Do not mix paint from 2 tins or mix colours. 
4. Brush application: Do not thin. On previously painted metal in sound condition, 1 coat should be sufficient. On bare/rusty metal 2 coats are required. Ensure that all edges and corners are adequately covered. Do not over-apply as sagging will occur. 
5. Coventional spray application: Thin with Hammerite Brush Cleaner & Thinners at a ratio of 15% Thinners to Paint. Set spray gun at 25/35psi and use full fan spray at maximum volume. Apply 4 thin coats. Allow 1 hour between coats. Refer to spray equipment manufacturer's guidelines for the correct and safe use of sprayers.

Cleaning and Storage 
After use, remove as much paint as possible from brushes before cleaning with Hammerite Brush Cleaner & Thinners.
