What does FRAS stand for?
FRAS stands for Fire Retardant Anti-Static – this is a rating for composites that are going to be used underground in mines, particularly coal mines.
What is tested in a FRAS test?
Ina FRAS test the following aspects of a polymer are tested.
Electrical conductivity
Ignitability
Flame propagation
Where to use?
Underground mines, power generation sites, production lines where sensitive electrical equipment is being used. Anywhere where static buildup is an issue, or where there fire resistance is required.
Does FRASMat pass FRAS requirements?
Yes. FRASMat meets Ignitability and Flame Propagation Characteristics and Anti-Static Properties (Electrical Resistivity) requirements for general applications of MDG3608,7.2.2.1 and MDG3608,7.2.1.1 in NSW.
What size is FRASMat available in?
Available in rolls lengths of up to 30 metres and widths of up to 1500mm
Comfy and slip resistant?
Check! Quality PVC and non-slip ribbing makes this a durable mat, but still with the flexible arches to provide underfoot support and cushioning.
