1. Fire Resistant:

FireCrunch is highly resistant to fire (CSIRO TESTED) and will not burn in a fire storm. FireCrunch is applicable in BAL 12.5 to BAL 40 and BAL FZ Flame Zone regulation areas when used to protect exposed timber framing, eaves, joists etc. It is tested by the CSIRO to worst case scenario of fire storm conditions.

Meets AS/NZS 1530.1, AS1530.8.1 AND AS1530.8.2 AS3959  1530.4-2005/2025 ,  and AS/3837.

2. Flood Resistant:

FireCrunch is an extremely dense, hardwearing and long lasting building sheet that is resistant to permanent water damage when installed and maintained correctly. This makes it the smart choice for laundries, kitchens, bathrooms floors and decking in both domestic and commercial projects. FireCrunch is also ideal as a substrate for tiling, marble, slate or granite in wet and dry areas.

3. Impact Resistant:

FireCrunch is 8 to 10 times stronger than plasterboard reducing loss and breakage. It is also less expensive and lighter in weight than compressed fibre cement (CFC) panels. Due to its material properties, FireCrunch does not break down or warp in water, therefore less replacement requirement after flooding... simply clean, seal and repaint.

4. Termite Resistant

One of the biggest issues for Australian homes is Termites. FireCrunch is made from a uniquely formulated, non-toxic fibre composite mix so is impervious to termites and insects.  It totally protects expensive timber framing.

5. Mould Resistant:

Due to the predominant chemical compound Magnesium Oxide (MgO) and Magnesium Sulphate (MgSO4) in our building boards, it eliminates mould resistance as well as mildew and moisture resistance in warm and humid conditions. FireCrunch’s Magnesium Oxide composition means those damaging and unhealthy BACTERIAL elements can’t grow or survive on our building board.

6. Sound Resistant:

FireCrunch is an Australian NATA LABS ( CSIRO) tested product and has total sound and acoustic resistance as a sound proof building board up to Rw 62 net ctr 52 on 10 mm boards in double stud framing for fire separation walls.

7. Environmental Friendly:

Cement board and plasterboard manufacturing use kiln temperatures of more than 1300°C. FireCrunch is produced at temperatures around 650°C therefore producing 50% less Co2 during the manufacturing process, in carbonation. It draws back 90% of the Co2 produced and makes it a virtually carbon neutral product 5%.
