Debeaders are used to remove the weld bead, formed during the butt welding of PE pipe. When performed correctly, this process does no damage to the pipe or the weld itself, but can provide important information as to the weld effectiveness, and is often carried out as a QA measure.

Internal Debeader

Internal Debeading is carried out where smooth flow is required inside the pipe (eg sewer and drainage pipelines)

Size range 90mm-500mm SDR 11 to 26

Includes:

• 6 pcs of alloy rods 2.15 mtr each (one is acting as turn handle)
• 5 pcs of centre rings to ensure that the rods are in centre of the pipe.
• Alloy rods are delivered in a special carrying bag with a handle

Accessory:

• 2.15 mtr alloy rod

External Debeader

External Debeading is also adopted where it is necessary for the outer pipe wall to be smooth (eg HDD bores)
