Aquascope Water Leak Detector 3 | Electronic ...
Being a light weight unit suitable for single handed operation with an array of advanced features this electronic listening stick is suitable for both applications.
The pointed rod is used in the localisation stage making direct contact on accessible pipes and fittings and can be inserted into soft ground in the pinpointing stage. The tripod foot enables the operator to detect leaks in walls, concrete slabs and underground with the AquaScope electronic listening stick.
Product features
The trigger Button on the Listening stick enables the operator to quickly activate and de-activate the amplifier with a single hand which is ideal for performing leakage surveys where you may need to carry tools in the other hand.
The display clearly shows the filter settings, previous readings, battery level, current noise level and minimum noise. This display is backlit for night work and suitable for use in bright sunlight.
The AquaScope 3 has more amplification than other electronic listening stick kits, enabling the operator to hear much quieter leaks.
Minimum noise profiling latches to the lowest noise detected for each sounding to help find the leak. When looking for a leak, the operator is looking for the loudest value of all the "quietest noises". So with minimum noise profiling an inexperienced operator can perform a leakage survey. With the provision of a guide on the expected noise levels for leaks they can pinpoint leak positions far more accurately than relying on the human ear alone.
Minimum Noise Profiling with the ability to display the last eight readings enables the operator to tell if he is going closer or further from the leak.
Simple operation, with volume control on the headphones and a trigger button on the listening stick the operator can find a leak pressing only one of the six buttons on the control unit.
Filters to help the operator tune into the sound of a leak when there are other noises present. Noises like traffic, airconditioning, pumps, flow and consumption can mask the leak noise unless you have an electronic listening stick with filters. Some difficult leaks require a narrow bandwidth setting to enable the operator to filter out multiple background noises and tune into the sound of the leak, this is why it is important to have user programmable filter settings.
With an accelerometer style sensor this electronic listening stick produces a very clear digital sound with the highest level of sensitivity enabling the operator to find more leaks.
With a strap attaching the amplifier for this electronic listening stick around the operators waist he can walk around all day hands free without neck strain created by some other equipment that hangs from your neck.
