Kistler SCM 400 Pipe Profiling Machine
The SCM range of pipe cutting or profiling machines is the “little brother” of the CNC pipe cutting machines which HGG and Kistler (RSM range) have. They are intended to be sold to those customers that do not cut 5 days a week, 8 hours a day and therefore cannot afford a CNC machine.
BENEFITS AT A GLANCE
The SCM machines are equipped with two PLC-controlled axes which enable the machine to cut pipes in conjunction with a plasma or oxy-fuel torch. The workpiece is clamped by a driven chuck (axis1), then the torch is moved over the pipe (axis2). Optional, a third controlled axis can be added to enable the machine to bevel end cuts (straight, mitre and branches). All programming is menu-driven, the machine is, therefore, easy to operate.
The machine comes with an interface for a plasma power source (the customer can use whatever plasma power source they prefer), optional, the machine can be equipped with an oxy-fuel torch.
The machine comes in three different standard sizes (300 mm, 400 mm and 630 mm maximum workpiece diameter), but we have done larger machines in the past (up to 1200 mm workpiece diameter).
Auditable, deliverable, measurable and evidence-based metrics will be provided so your strategic team can calculate the ROI, capacity increase and man-hours reduced from a Kistler SCM 400 Pipe Profiling Machine. SMS will evaluate your current position and ongoing strategy, we will then assess any gaps to successfully deliver to your business and your clients.
