This micrometer measures dimension of a target or the position of an edge by using the shadow principle. The data obtained with a selection of various measurement programs is output via analog and digital interfaces. These include 0-10V DC, range ±10V DC, RS 232 or RS 422.
Using LED light with a sophisticated telecentric lens system in a non contact micrometer enables measurement with extreme accuracy and repeatability far better than any laser micrometer. The system is highly durable, and almost insensitive to dust and dirt and stray light. Measurement against glass and transparent objects is also possible.
The measuring range for this dimension gauge is 40mm, and it has a sampling rate of 2.3kHz. Non-linearity is less than ±3 µm, while resolution is 0.25 µm. Non-repeatability is a low ±1 µm. The micrometer can operate in temperatures of 0-50°C, using a supply voltage of 24V DC. The light source and receiver have a protection class of IP 64.
