Kent is a Australian company. They specialise in assisting Australians moving and provide a safe and secure storage solution. Beginnings in 1946, they have been in operation for over 70 years. Kent have given assistance to Australians moving around to corner to across the world. Kent also has international connections to assist those undergoing an international move. Not only a company established on excellence, in addition to the fact they have helped over a million people relocate.
Expansion for Kent in Western Australia was on the horizon. In order to cater for the growing demand meant the establishing of a new warehouse. The location of the new warehouse is in the industrial park of Welshpool – Western Australia.
Storing goods subject to inspection gave Kent the need for a caged area. This cage would contain the goods stored in quarantine. The pallet racking storage system would storage any miscellaneous items less than a container load safely and securely. The loading of containers for storage is into the open areas of the warehouse.
Their were multiple trades working within the warehouse in conjunction with the racking installation. It required coordination in order to minimise interruption between trades working onsite at the same time. Abbott arranged the installation team to keep within the storage system designated area. So as to avoid any hindrances to other work going on onsite.
The Solution
From the initial design consultation session, Abbott worked closely with Kent Storage. Enabling us to gain an understanding of the storage requirements Kent had. So then we could provide a storage solution that would last well into the future.
After the completion of the design and plans, the operations management at Kent chose Abbott as the storage partner. In short, the installation of the racking was in under 3 days to meet the deadline. The completion of the caged area was also within this timeframe.
