Data Acquisition System | imc Spartan
SPARTAN is a compact, high-precision and affordable measurement system. SPARTAN operates in both centralized and decentralized measurement environment. By means of its CAN-Bus interface for connecting imc CANSAS measurement modules, it is even possible to accurately capture precise remote temperature signals from the SPARTAN without the need for the expensive compensation lines which thermocouples require.
SPARTAN is ideal for monitoring tasks, for instance, in civil engineering or transportation applications. Due to its independence from the PC and its self-activation capability, it covers areas in which other PC-based systems have to give up. The very high numberchannels required in some these cases makes the 128 channel system the best option. For even more channels, imc systems can be cascaded and synchronized.
Further applications can be found in system engineering, automation, material and endurance tests, as well as in the growing market of wind power.
Models equipped to meet specialized requirements
SPARTAN is available in five frame models, from 16 - 128 measurement channels, and two measurement amplifier models. In all cases, isolated channels enable interferencefree measurement even in tricky voltage fields.
Universal signal connection
The full extent of SPARTAN’s versatility is possible thanks to the measurement amplifier modules with 16 – 128 channels, and four direct incremental counters. Frequency, time, displacement, RPM, velocity etc. can be measured directly and processed synchronously with other signals.
16 digital inputs and eight digital outputs allow capture and output of control- and triggering signals. Plus, the optional field bus interface reads measured data from the CAN-/LIN-Bus, synchronized with signals from the analog and digital channels.
Measurement and analysis rolled into one
Along with capture of the raw data, the system’s digital signal processors can subject channel data to freely configurable, real time processing operations. In addition, all analog, digital, field bus and computed channels can be used for open- and closed-loop control tasks or for signal limit monitoring.
Ideal for In-Vehicle Tests
