The M154 range of motors is the largest of our ‘off-the-shelf’ size motors – these units are able to provide continuous power up to and above 5kW and they are suitable for larger applications such as electric vehicles and boat conversions.

These motors allow us to convert land and sea vehicles to electric – a great way to ‘go green’ and focus on sustainable energy consumption which will benefit us all in the long run.

The diameter of 167mm and total length of 251mm (excl. shaft) means these units are both lighter and smaller than the systems which they are commonly replacing.

They are strong and durable, with rating up to IP66 and commonly deployed in harsh outdoor environments.

Brushless DC motors meet variable speed requirements (adjusted and capped via controller), are easy to change direction and have a higher starting torque than AC motors.

EMP's range of DC motors are highly efficient, generally operating at above 90% efficiency. They are also smaller than their AC equivalents and can operate at very low speeds if required.

CONTROLLER: All BLDC motors require a suitable controller to perform the electronic commutation function in order to operate. These controllers also provide the capability to:

Control and cap the speed
Reverse direction of the motor
Set acceleration and deceleration requirements
Assign specific control parameters via custom set-up of your controller
